Estee Lauder as a brand leveraged the popularity of TV series, celebrities and beauty trends to target consumers precisely through search engines, paid sponsor ads, and Baidu mobile app native feeds, which made the new lipsticks a must-have beauty item. We were tasked with seamlessly inserting product placement into popular Chinese TV series'. We helped the brand overcome the disconnect between the very common Chinese TV series genre (ancient fantasy) and the brand image.

We created the Regal launch slogan “Be Allured Once Again” (让你一再心动) and needed to effectively reach the brand’s target audience to prompt test drives. We collaborated with China’s largest e-commerce, Taobao, to “peek” into our audience’s saved cart (收藏夹), singling out the items they’d frequently been viewing. All participants were entered into a random selection for Buick to purchase their saved cart items. In addition, we ran a social offline campaign called “Mystery Delivery” in Beijing, Shanghai, and Guangzhou which broadened brand awareness on social media.

The event marked a milestone for both the fashion and manufacturing industry as Lagerfeld and Buick announced that they would be co-designing an artsy model for the brand new GL8 Avenir, Buick’s subsidiary brand of premium level cars.
